Perhaps the real problem is with the people that purchased and used the melamine to contaminate the milk and sold it to make a huge profit.

Why are we buying so much stuff from China? - Maybe we stop buying?
Scare after scare - job losses from the USA and Europe - whay are we continuing to blindly purchase goods made in China?
It's cheap you say.
What is cheap?
Perhaps we need to start considering the "Total Cost of Ownership" over time aspect of low price Chinese imports.
With all these scares, recalls, wasted PR expenses, etc. perhaps it would be better to purchase a higher quality product made closer to home?
Take a look at these news reports and consider the ramifications of continuing to purchase Chinese goods.
